McKayla Rose Maroney, also known by the name 'Mackair Maroney', is an infamous American gymnast who took home a gold medal with the US Olympics gymnastics team and individual silver medals for the vault competition during the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. Her first experience in gymnastics was when she was a child because her parents are athletes. She is one of few athletes who been successful in defending a gold medal in the vault, an event she was able to win at the 2011 World Championships and then later in the 2013 Championship. It was disappointing to her to only win a silver at the Olympics in 2012. She wanted an Olympic gold medal claimed at the Rio Olympic Games. She announced her retirement shortly before the Olympic Games began due to injuries and health issues. Apart from gymnastics, she's also appeared in a couple of series on television, and she's hoping to sing. McKayla is expected to have a successful future.
