Nadia Elena Comaneci
In 1976, the Montreal Olympic Games was the time when she broke the record when she became the first to achieve a perfect 10, in bars that were symmetrical. She went on to achieve another perfect 10 and became the most youthful Olympic all-around gold medalist at just 14. The Romanian gymnast was able to attract international attention and assist in helping Romania establish itself on the world map. With an impossible result she became an iconic image and helped promote gymnastics across the globe. People's view of female athletes also changed due to her performance. The impact she had was such that she earned her the title of Olympic toe-on and release moves. The moves are classified as extremely difficult. She also performed well at World Championships, European Championships, and Olympics. That made her a legend, and she is one of the most famous gymnasts in the world. After her departure to the US the 'Queen of Olympics' took up modeling and sports equipment promotion.
