Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional basketball player. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings as the 5th overall pick of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on March 2nd, 1997, Milwaukee Wisconsin. Parents Yolanda Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale, who is 26 years old, is her brother, and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years older. Being the youngest of her siblings she was the most spoilt from her family. The father of her Gregory was a soldier in the Nigerian Army for quite some duration. Ogunbowale comes from a lively family. She has a mother Yolanda and her brother Dare both played softball while attending DePaul. Her aunt Endia Oliver was a Volleyball player for Tennessee State and her niece was a former volleyball player with UAPB. Ogunbowale was on the Honor Roll at her school for three years straight. In high school, Ogunbowale has been awarded numerous prizes and gained fame. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in her home town. Apart from studying Arike was a member of three teams on the varsity level while she was at Divine Holy Angels Savior High School. Ogunbowale was able to lead her team to multiple successes thanks to her impressive ability. Her high school career was compiled with 73 starts and 1,477 points in her career and 739 career rebound. Ogunbowale played in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships which she took home gold medals. On July 7 2014 she was selected to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first year of collegiate basketball. She was even congratulated by Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant after she hit several big shots at the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale, a basketball player in her early teens, is a athlete who has shown herself to be an outstanding player.
